DO YOU KNOW THE SIGNS OF PELVIC FLOOR DYSFUNCTION?
Don't ignore it! Start tackling it today
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Our pelvic floors can be weak or overactive. Firstly it is really important to identify which one you are working with. They can both create similar symptoms, like leakage, pain during sex, urgency to go the toilet and a heavy sensation. We cover both strengthening and relaxation techniques and practice for the pelvic floor.
Neck Pain and Tight Shoulders
Postural changes from both pregnancy and beyond often lead to alterations in our alignment. This tends to present as discomfort or pain when we move, lift things or exercise. We teach you how to mobilize your body to realign your posture.
Bladder Leakage
1 out of 3 women who have ever birthed experience leakage. Whether it's frequent, or a little "LBL", women need to know that they don't have to put up with it. In certain circumstances the right techniques and exercise has been proven to completely eliminate leakage. And here's a secret - it has nothing to do with clenching everything 20 times a day.
Diastasis Recti
Diastasis Recti is a separation in the stomach muscles. If left untreated it can lead to a range of issues. We teach you now to assess it correctly, walking you through step by step to close and/or firm the area, and reinforce the structures to ensure it stays that way.
Pelvic Instability
The sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is a key component of regaining proper pelvic control. If you had pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy, or have hip or lower back pain now, chances are this area needs movement that will stabilise it.
Back Pain
A very common complaint in mums. Targeting back pain is a combination of correctly strengthening and using your core and surrounding muscles and mobilising the back. We teach you which muscles to work, in which order, to ensure that your spine is linked correctly with your abdominals and pelvic muscles.
Our program helps you reconnect and strengthen your core, tackle aches and pains, tackle pelvic floor dysfunction and build overall fitness.
Giving you energy to run around with your kids, strength to tackle motherhood and confidence in your body so you can achieve whatever you want
Mammy Coach founder & Head Coach
Hi, I'm Mel
I am a mum of two & a postnatal specialist determined to support as many women as possible to recover and feel good again after giving birth. I know what it’s like to feel alien in your own body, to feel like your core and strength have disappeared, to feel like this is it and it won’t get better.
I understand the feeling of not knowing where to start. The feeling of being afraid of doing damage to your body. The feeling of being overwhelmed and time short. That is why I have poured myself into specialised education and training to ensure I can support mums in the best way possible to live in a functioning strong body and feel confident from the outside in.
